Yes, your dog can be trained while he stays with us! We offer private training programs with That's My Dog Training during your dog's stay at the Inn. Prior to your dog's stay, a consultation/evaluation will be held to determine your goals and the appropriate training program and cost. As with any training, it will be your responsibility to maintain the training in your dog's daily life. We will assist you with the transition process by providing training materials and exercises for you to practice with your dog. However, your dog will revert to old habits if the new ones are not maintained with daily practice.
Training can be provided in the following areas:
Refresher Training - This training program is for those dogs who have had obedience training in the past, but just need a little refresher. The number of lessons and cost will be determined based on a consultation/evaluation with you regarding your needs and goals.
Basic Obedience - This training program is for those dogs who have not had basic obedience training for cues such as sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking, leave it, drop it, etc. The number of lessons and cost will be determined based on a consultation/evaluation with you regarding your needs and goals.
Behavior Modification - This training program is for dogs with specific problem behaviors such as improper greeting behavior, unruly behavior in the home, pulling on the leash when walking, excessive barking, etc. The number of lessons and cost will be determined based on a consultation/evaluation with you regarding your needs and goals.
